The classic North African paste known as Harissa gets it start with this blend of spices, including California chili, New Mexico chili, coriander, garlic, salt, cumin, cayenne and citric acid. Make the paste by mixing the blend with some freshly chopped garlic and olive oil to create the consistency you desire then add to rice dishes, soups, salads, kabobs, or a sandwich condiment.
